Together with the Kentucky Cabinet of Economic Development, SOAR connects businesses with over 250 partners to bring economic growth, medical care, and improved education to Appalachia.

SOAR Kentucky is a proud host of the COSTARTERS Program: A five-week program that provides actionable next steps for their business, identifies creative solutions, find both short-term and long-term financial stability, and how to adapt in an uncertain environment.

The Challenge

No In-depth Business Information Gathering & Inadequate Tracking

Unlike traditional workforce development organizations that focus on job seekers, SOAR Kentucky works with businesses to drive economic growth and incentives. They needed a way to get in-depth business information, including businesses, partners, and training providers. They also needed a way to track incentives and referrals.

The Solution

Customized Data Fields Geared Towards Businesses & Dashboards

Launchpad worked with SOAR Kentucky to customize our Business Services application. Over 60 custom fields were designed to capture information unique to businesses and partners to facilitate in-depth business assessments. Once a business assessment is complete, they are matched to incentives that are tracked in our CRM.


Organizing and tracking business incentives was another critical component, there were thirty-seven businesses that graduated from the COSTARTERS program in 2019. Launchpad Reporting and Dashboards were used to track all incentives and support services and provide that information in customizable reports to the Kentucky Cabinet of Economic Development.
